High Hopes Therapeutic Riding is a non-profit organization in Old Lyme, Connecticut dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities through horse-assisted therapy. Their annual gala is the event of the year, bringing together passionate supporters and generous donors in an exquisite night of dinner, dancing, and fundraising to help continue their work.

Project Goals

The Julia Balfour Team has worked closely with High Hopes since 2011 to create the visuals for their annual gala. From concepting the overall look and feel to supporting at the gala, we worked with the High Hopes team to emphasize the different facets of their work — transforming lives through equine therapy in growth, strength and roots. Through the use of naturals and greens with a pop of beautiful copper and paper texture, the idea of trees was the focal point. From roots to branches, leaves and beyond, High Hopes complemented their efforts in anchoring and enveloping community.
